Anubis Oracle, Tell Me True

Back in December, I signed up for a free teleconference about an oracle deck I had picked up a little while before. The deck is The Anubis Oracle, by Nicky Scully and Star Wolf, illustrated by Kris Waldherr (who created The Goddess Tarot and The Lover’s Path Tarot).  I was really interested to hear what the creators had to say about the deck, partly because I was a little skeptical about it.  The deck, accompanying book, and a sister book (Shamanic Mysteries of Egypt) are all the result of channelling.  And, as I’ve said before, I’m not sure how I feel about channelled works.

The teleconference didn’t really answer all of my questions with regards to how the deck works or the validity of the authors’ inspiration, but it was informative, and made me feel more comfortable with the deck. The Anubis Oracle looks like a very interesting tool.  I will admit that I haven’t used it much… at all, actually.  But it feels good when I look through the images.

If you are interested in listening to the teleconference, you can do so here (top link).  A good chunk of it is a reading, which I found a bit too general for my tastes.  None the less, it is always interesting to hear how other people conduct readings.  And, in a way, it helps build my confidence about doing readings, too.
