Tarot Cafe‘s creator is Sang-Sun Park (b. August 9, 1974), a graduate of Korea’s Kookmim University, where she majored in Visual Design. She got her start in manwha* in 1997 through the Issue and White Super Manga Contest with her entry Broken Toy. Her other major works include Requiem of the Soul, Lost Wings, Ark Angels and Les Bijoux.

* manwha means comics or cartoons in Korean; it is the same as Japanese manga and Chinese manhua.
